Don’t you think everyone is talking about AI and someone’s just staying silent about the whole matter? Yeah! Technology advancements every day could no longer keep Apple away. Oh! did you see, what I did there. Ah, okay let’s dive into the news at the moment, so, according to the New York Times, Apple’s Siri is going to experience a change.
Wait, have you forgotten who Siri is? Of course, Apple users would definitely know. It was introduced in 2011, and it had initially received mixed reviews. Anyway, it’s been a tough competitor to the Google Assistant and what was that for the Microsoft, Cortana, right? Whatever it was, this Siri impressed people with its voice commands.
The original voice was recorded by Susan Benett, an American actress, who had no idea back in 2005, that it would be used by millions around the world years later. As per Wiki, she was the voice of Siri until iOS7 update. Okay! Too many facts. Let’s come back.
So, this Siri, who takes commands such as, “Take a picture”, or “Call Michael”, and sets your calendar was not a great communicator. I mean it just takes commands. No chatting. The reason OpenAI’s ChatGPT excited everybody is the fact that it could chat back to you. It doesn’t just take commands. It felt human.
So, Siri and the old voice command technology, kind of started to seem like a bit of boring. Up until now. Why, what’s happening now? Guess what? It’s changing. As per the report, Apple is going to unveil a new Siri at the June 10 Annual Developers Conference.
Now, isn’t that something! I mean, hey AI and Apple would be a cool team. Few more days to go and then we will know everything. Exciting, right?
